Faye Monk Obituary
Born Sept. 21, 1947, in Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Rhyne Hamilton and Margaret Vera Fisher Hamilton.
Mrs. Monk was employed by Freightliner for almost 30 years.
She is survived by her son, Gene Monk; daughter, Sherron Lewis; stepsons, James and Ronnie Monk Jr.; sisters, Diane Wade and Gail Reeves of Mount Holly; grandchildren, Scott and Joshua Lewis; and six nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Allen Monk Sr. and brother, Eddie Hamilton.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel in Gastonia with Pastors Tim Small and Joe Small officiating.
Visitation will be 7 until 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Interment is in Hillcrest Gardens, Mount Holly.
Arrangements by Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel in Gastonia.
