Francis Shields Obituary

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Francis "Frank" Evans Shields, 81, formerly of Lake Wylie, S.C., passed away March 1, 2013.

Frank was born July 4, 1931, in Baton Rouge, La., son of the late William Morris Shields Sr. and the late Sadie Carter Shields.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at River Hills Community Church, 104 Hamilton's Ferry Road, Lake Wylie, SC 29710.

Interment will follow the service.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Hwy, Lake Wylie, SC 29710.

At 4 p.m. Saturday, a memorial, followed by a reception, will be held at Bishop Gadsden, 1873 Camp Road, Charleston, S.C.
29412.

Huntingtowne Farms was not the same when the Shields family moved away! All of the Renwicks have such fond memories of your Dad....we still think of him, his laugh, his gumbo and his banjo.......he was loved and will be missed. Mary Sue Renwick Gervais
