Fred Gilbert Obituary
He was born Oct. 6, 1946, son of the late, Fred Daniel Gilbert and Frances Elizabeth Brock Gilbert.
Fred was a member of First Baptist Church in High Shoals and very active in his community.
Left to cherish his memories are his son, Brandon Gilbert; step-daughter, Tammy Howell; soulmate, Virginia Johnston; grandchildren, Mercedes Gilbert, Jacob Gilbert, Kayleigh Lingerfelt and Lynndie Dellinger and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Gilbert and a sister.
A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Doug McClane, will be held 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 600 Lincoln Street, High Shoals.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
