Jane Stroud Obituary
She was the daughter of the late Albert Lee Glenn and Miriam Hamrick Glenn.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018 at Boiling Springs Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends following the service at the Life Enrichment Center.
Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family of Mrs. Stroud.

Every time I think of Jane I see her with that smile on her face. She always had a kind word for everyone. I was just thinking about her the other day as we are planning our upcoming Crest High reunion. It has been 52 years. We will miss her.....

I have such fond memories of Jane. She was such a smart, talented and kind person. But the one thing I’ll especially remember forever was her smile.

It is still hard for me to believe that she is gone. Jane was such a kind person. No matter where I ran into her around town she always had a smile on her face. She is still sorely missed. The students she taught were lucky to have such a kind, caring, talented person. All our lives are better for having known Jane.

Jane was an amazing person. Always a smile for everyone! I can't believe it has been a year. I continue to pray for Jane's family every day. She will always live in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Charles and her family. We did not know Jane and Charles very long. I was in pulmonary rehab with Jane and met them there. I was also waiting for lungs. Jane always had a smIle on her face and wonderful positive attitude. We were shocked to hear of her passing. She will be missed greatly.

I worked with Jane at Crest Middle School and enjoyed every minute of my time with her. She was a beautiful, caring person who never let any problem or pain affect her sweet spirit. She was a wonderful teacher and was one of my son's favorites. Thoughts and prayers to her family and friends. She will be missed by all.

I worked with Jane at Crest Middle School. She was a beautiful sweet person. She had an infectious attitude that lit up the world around her. Prayers for Charles and the girls. She was truly an awesome person.

Jane Glenn Stroud was a friend and neighbor who lifted me up in the worst of troubled times. Jane could always celebrate blessings and inspire faith in spite of difficulties. She was a bright spot in my day no matter when or where we connected. She will be missed by so many but her spirit remains and will bring smiles to our faces and joy to our hearts whenever we remember her.

I have known Jane for so many years as her children and grandchildren were a part of life at BSBC. Jane was so supportive of the children and what went on at church....my last picture of Jane was with Gemma Grace and our pumpkin painting afternoon at the church with the Pre-K pals and that smile was glowing with faith and love! I will miss her and her walk in faith.

Jane was one of the liveliest young Ladies I have ever known, when She was around you thought the Sun even shined a little brighter! She was a neighbor and I've loved her for many years! She will be missed greatly!

Prayers for you all during this difficult time! Jane was a really great friend and boss to Michele Martin (my step-daughter) and like a Grandmother to Bryson. Grateful to have met Jane and that her life crossed paths with mine. May God give you the strength for this time of need!

I grew up in Boiling Springs and attended school with Jane at Boiling Springs School and Crest High School. I am so very sorry to hear of her passing. I am lifting up prayers for the entire family! May God give them blessings of comfort during this most difficult of times.

I grew up with Jane and was proud to call her friend. When Jane and I were in elementary school we were always in the spelling bee for our class. To prepare for the school bee we studied together usually at her house. We also spent a lot of time laughing and talking as we studied...probably more than studying! Good memories! I used to run in to her a lot at the post office and we always talked and she was always smiling.A few years back my great niece was in her English class at Crest. She liked Jane a lot and I was thankful that my niece had a person like her for a teacher. Jane I will always remember your friendly personality and that big smile....RIP

What a testimony of her faith and love for her God, her family, and her friends over the past year of so many health issues. She has been an inspiration to me personally and will miss her sweet smile that was always there to greet you when you saw her.
