Jean Alsobrooks Obituary
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2016, at Lakeview Memory Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Tommy Wilkes.
The family will receive friends following the service at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Alsobrooks was born April 30, 1929, in York County, S.C. to the late S. Lee and Ethel Ferguson Pursley. She was the widow of Duane W. Alsobrooks, Sr. She retired from York County Social Service and was a volunteer with American Red Cross. She had served as Church secretary of Clover First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter Julie A. Dellinger (Chuck) of Cherryville; son, D. Whicker Alsobrook, Jr. (Beverly) of York; grandchildren, Holly A. Bryant, David Alsobrooks (Amber), Michael Wright (Christy) and Capt. Jacob Dellinger, US Army (Mary); great-grandchildren, Cody Bryant, Molly and Cason Wright; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Lewis Pursley, and sisters Isabell Withers and Ethel Lee Hilderbrand.
Memorials may be made to Clover First United Methodist Church, 124 Bethel St., Clover, SC 29710.
