Joe Correll Obituary
He was born in Mecklenburg County on July 31, 1949, to the late Lester Ray and Leola Beal Correll.
Joe was a life-long resident of North Belmont.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lester Ray Correll Jr., a sister, Ocie Lee Correll and his best friend Barney.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He had a great love for his wife and best friend JoAnn, and his four legged friend Fred. Joe enjoyed gardening and fishing. He retired from Parkdale Mills with over 33 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years JoAnn Phillips Correll; his children Claudia Ann Moore and her fiancée Carl Lee Carter, Barbara Jean Correll , Billy Dean Correll and fiancée Jody B.; brother George Correll of Bessemer City, Grandchildren Staff Sergeant Christina Barnes, Racheal Winck and hus-band Josh, Kirsten Silvers, Austin Correll, Jerrica Truelove, Chase and Ava Barber; Great grandchildren Claudia Anne Bellerice, Myra Winck, Kian Corey, Landon Winck, Lyton Truelove; Sister and brother-in-law, Frankie and Don Queen; Nephew Everette and Lena Huckle, Nephews James, Randy and George Holbrook.
Celebration of life service will be 5 p.m. Wednesday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with the Releasing of the Doves to follow.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 5 p.m. prior to the service at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.
Interment will be private.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association , 222 South Church St. , Charlotte, NC 28202.

AS A CHRISTIAN, I LOVE TO WRITE TO CHRISTIANS WHO BELIEVE THAT A LOVED ONE "WENT TO BE WITH THE LORD AND WHAT BETTER DAY THAN OUR LORD's EASTER DAY.
I WORKED IN TEXTILES FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS AND DUKE KIMBREL, OWNER OF PARKDALE, CAME TO OUR KNITTING MILL ONE DAY TO SELL YARN; AND POSSIBLY, JOE HELPED TO MAKE THE YARN WE KNITTED AND DYED FOR EXSPENCIVE BIG HOTEL TOWELS ETC.. I VISTED THE "ACME" IN THE 1960s TO SELL MILL AND SHOP SUPPLIES.
PLEASE READ AND BELIEVE MATTHEW 27:52-53. MILLIONS BELIEVE THAT GOD THE TRINITY RAISED ALL IN PARIDICE UP TO EARTH OR HEAVEN HERE. I CAN BELIEVE THAT ALL ON EARTH WENT WITH HIM TO HEAVEN AFTER FORTY DAYS WHEN HE ASCENDED AND THAT ALL SLEEP IN "BRIDAL SUITES"(ROOMS-NIV),(MANCHINS,DWELLING PLACES,OTHER VERSIONS) TILL JESUS RETURNS.(REVALATION 2:9-10)Vs.17 YOU CAN READ THAT JOE AND ALL WILL HAVE A "NEW NAME"IN "A WHITE STONE."THE STONE COULD BE A BIG DIAMOND IN A "NECKLACE" OR A BIG DIAMOND RING WITH OUR NEW NAME IN IT. GOD's WORD READS THAT WE WILL "KNOW" AND "BE KNOWN" IN HEAVEN.
