Lillian Grissom Obituary
She was a native of Gaston County, daughter of the late Samuel Pearl and Lillie Ethel Stroup Grissom.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Rosel Carl, Ethel Saunders, Sarah Herrell, William Samuel, Jonas Neal, Ralph Wilson, Jennie Lee Alexander, Tommy Hope, Rosel Frank, and special friend, Charles Crawford.
Lillian worked at S.H. Kress Co., Gaston Motor Parts and Matthews Belk Co. She was a lifelong mem-ber of Olney Presbyterian Church and active member of the Young at Hearts organizations at Crowders Creek ARP, Pisgah ARP, and Bowling Green Presbyterian churches.
Survivors include sixteen nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at McLean Funeral Directors of Gas-tonia.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Olney Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Elizabeth Sigmon officiating.
Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.

My heart just broke as I read of her passing! She was such a beautiful person who made an impact the second I became her nurse. May she find peace in the arms of Jesus.

Lillian was a beautiful woman, no nonsense and I love how she kept her roots and simplicity all the time I knew her I am sure all her life. I know she will be missed and I am so very sorry for your loss. I bet her and Nanny (Libby Baker) are really catching up right now.
