Mary Savage Obituary
She was born June 1, 1932, in Graham County to the late Sherman and Mae Moore Lee.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Jernigan and husband, Jerry, of Gastonia; son, Russell Savage and wife, Guynn, of Fort Mill, S.C.; son-in-law, Danny Strader Sr.; sisters, Nellie Koppe, and Patricia Arledge; brother, Paul Lee; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Homer Savage; daughter, Barbara S. Strader; brothers, Monroe, Kenneth and Donald Lee; and sister, Teresa Southerland.
Mary was retired from textiles and attended Dallas Church of God.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Dallas Church of God with the Revs. Danny Shortridge and Pervey Stines officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

While I look at Mary's face, my mind flash back to so many good childhood memories. She was so much a part of who I am and who I became. I am sure she and my mom are having a great time in heaven. I miss them both. My love and peace to all the family. Mary,... go rest high on that mountain with Homer.

My heart and prayers are with the family. Mary was a kind, quiet, loving woman I looked up to and respected. When I was growing up, she was like a second mom to me. She will truly be missed because her presence made this world a much better place.
