Michael Tyson Obituary
A native of Washington, N.C., he was the son of the late Carson Stanley Tyson.
Dewey lived in various places across North Carolina before graduating from Pisgah High School in Canton, N.C. in 1976. After high school, Dewey worked for Champion Paper Company in Haywood County and in Alabama before he joined his brother in business in 1990. He was the plant manager of Tyson Bros. Inc. He loved his family, his friends, his Allie, his cars, and his Blue Devils. His kind spirit and his wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all who love him.
He is survived by his mother, Norma Bramlett Tyson of Canton, N.C.; his wife, Mary Beth Tyson, daughters and son-in-law, Courtney Tyson and husband Michael Hancock of Russellville, AL and Candice Nicole Tyson of the home; brother and sister-in-law, Stan and Janice Tyson of Dallas and their sons, Aaron Tyson of Belmont and Preston Tyson of Dallas; a sister and brother-in-law, Beth Tyson and Victor Lofquist of Sylva, N.C.; and their chil-dren, Daniel and Becky, daughter Ava Manring of Cullowhee, and Rebecca Manring of Cullowhee, NC; and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Addison of Russellville, AL.
A memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Carroll Flack at 3 p.m. Sunday in Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia.
Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Tyson Bros. Inc.
Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Dallas Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 742, Dallas, NC 28034.

I'm going truly miss Dewey Tyson. We didn't see each other that much but he made me feel like we were best friends when we did hang out. Our prayers go out to Mary Beth and the family.
