Ray Webb Obituary

LINCOLNTON - Ray Webb, 72, formerly of Granite Falls, passed away Oct. 13, 2015, at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.

Born March 17, 1943 in Gaston County, he was a son of the late Joe Rufus and Mary Martin Webb.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Sue Cline, Peggy Stephens; three broth-ers, Ralph, Joe and Arthur Webb and a sister-in-law, Daphne Webb.

Ray loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a former member of Dudley Shoals Baptist Church and a member of Northside Community Church in Lincolnton. He had served in the Army National Guard for 4 years. He loved animals and was a Farrier.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Hayes Webb; his son, Johnny Ray Webb and wife Kim of Hickory Grove, SC; his daughter, Shawna Garrett of Piedmont, SC; two brothers, his twin, Roy Webb of Lin-colnton, Reid Webb of Kings Mountain; a sister, Sarah Cates of Gastonia and three grandchildren, Steven Blackwell, Carman Webb and Landen Webb and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Mr. Webb's life will be held 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2015 at Northside Community Church in Dallas, with the Revs. Don Ingle, Gordon West, and John Johnson and Pastor Mark Mann offi-ciating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 until 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with final expenses.

I'm so sorry I never knew Ray passed away, I took care of Daphne when she was very ill when I picked her up on my ambulance. Roy, Ray, a few others was very awesome to me when his nephew and my daddy died, Tim Robinson. I'm very sorry he passed, I thought a lot of him and a Roy and 2 others. I love you
