Robert Williams Obituary

Robert Wesley Williams, 82, known as Wesley, and fondly called Peabody by his childhood friends and Pop Pop by his grandchildren, passed away on Tuesday, June 7th in Fort Worth, TX.

Wesley was born in Kings Mountain, NC and resided in Gastonia, NC for more than 60 years, and lived in Fort Worth, TX for the past 10 years. He was married to Norma Huffstetler Williams, who passed on March 5, 2012. They had five children and are survived by three, Pamella Rowland and her husband Andy, who currently reside in Fort Worth, TX; Scott Williams and his wife Karen in York, SC; and Kimberly Williams in Seattle, WA. He is also survived by his youngest sister, Ester Parrish who resides in Kings Mountain, NC.

Wesley is preceded in death by his parents, Ervin James Williams and Mary Lee Earney; his siblings, Jack Williams, Gene Williams and Kaye Pearson; and two sons, Ricky Williams and Terry Williams.

A celebration of Wesley's life will be held at the home of Wesley Williams on Saturday, June 11th. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to his home church for the youth center they are building, Northwest Baptist Church, 5500 Boat Club Road, Fort Worth, TX 76179 or via www.mynorthwestfamily.net (click GIVE located on right sidebar).
