Tommy Chastain Obituary
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers David, Jerry and Homer Chastain.
He was an avid softball player.
He is survived by two daughters, Tanya Thompson and Julie Morris, both of Gastonia; five grandchildren, Treston, Makayla and Lyrik Chastain, Phillip Medders and Elizabeth Braddock; a sister, Linda Miller; three brothers, Larry, Bobby and John Chastain; his fiancé, Sheila Braddock, of Dallas.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Chastain will be held 4 p.m. Sunday Nov. 13, 2016 at the Cornerstone Family Worship in Mount Holly with the Rev. Kevin McClure officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

Uncle Tom will be missed by us nieces and nephews. He was the one you could hang out with and have no judgement of your choices in life. He loved to talk.
He always say sis, always stay a good woman and stay serving God.
A month before he passed we had a talk about him going to heaven. He said he would think about what we talked about. I pray he's walking all over heaven with his momma, and all others we've known that personally knowed Jesus.
Tom is singing now... Wish you were here,
It's such a beautiful place. Wish you were here nothing hurt you here today.
It never rains, and no one complains, we don't shed no tears here. We're having a great time ...
Wish you were here... Now this gives me peace.

My condolences to the family and friends of Tommy. He was a very dedicated and loyal employee of Pharr Yarns. I worked with Tommy for the past ten years and he always went the extra mile to see that he did his job to him best. Sheila, I know you and the family are going through a lot of sorrow and will miss him very much. I remember one thing my late mother always told me.
