I was blessed to work along side Cal for well over 20 years in School District Twenty, he taught me a great deal about management in a school district usually by example since we often called Silent Cal. He never seem overwhelmed by any of the problems, big or small, that came his way in keeping the schools operating like a well oiled machine. His style of interacting with a principal, teacher, student, collegue, architect or contractor never deviated from being respectful, professional with an attitude of together they would accomplish what needed to be done with care and pride. I was both saddened and happy to learn on Cal's death, although I only was with him a couple of times after I retired he was someone who made me a better person and the only way I can repay him is by being the gentleman he was. My joy is knowing Cal no longer has to face life's challenges but will reap the rewards of a life well lived. May he rest in our Loving Lord's arms. God Bless all!

My deepest sympathy to Cal´s family. I was the principal at Air Academy High in the 1990´s. I had the privilege of working with Cal. A few years ago we honored him at AAHS Homecoming. Cal was a dedicated educator and true gentleman.
