Mother, Grandmother, Educator, World Traveler, Explorer, Costume Designer, Avid Gardner, Avid Reader, Scuba Diver, Realtor, Notary, Legal Assistant
Predeceased by her husband, William J. Kowal.
She leaves daughter, Deborah Kowal; son,
Christopher Kowal, his wife Kristen and grandson Tobias Kowal, brothers, Carl Richards and Paul Richards and brothers-in-law Paul Kowal and Bob Kowal and sister-in-law Patricia Kowal, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Alicia Meunier and Marjorie Richards.
Calling hours will be held on Friday February 18, 2022 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at CZELUSNIAK FUNERAL HOME 173 North St, Northampton, MA 01060 followed by an in-house service at 11:30 am. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Elms Scholarship Fund Class of 1967. Please go to Czelusniakfuneralhome.com for online condolences.

There were very few people that I have met in all my life that conducted themselves with such dignity and respect.
You and Bill were always kind to me and my parents and for that I will be eternally grateful.

I was part of the team that cared for Arlene at MGH in Boston. I loved to sit and chat with her about her projects and her love of travel. She faced each challenge with grace and taught me much about facing adversity.

Arlene was a dynamic woman and a treasure to teachers. We travelled together to many seminars and our long talks on those car rides made the trips seem short and form our friendship. I´ll miss her. My deepest sympathies to her family.
