Daniel Ferreira

Easthampton, MA - Daniel J. Ferreira passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Hazel A. Ferreira, who passed away on September 7, 2025.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Francis Ferreira.

Daniel is survived by his sisters, Mary Lou Piper and Catherine Snow as well as his son, Daniel J. Ferreira Jr., daughter, Mary Elizabeth Magner, son-in-law, G. Edward Magner and granddaughters, Devin Lynch and Erin Magner.

Daniel graduated from Peabody High School. Following his four years in the Navy as a submariner Dan became an electrician. He was also educated in hydraulic engineering technology. Dan worked for United Shoe Machinery, Gloucester Engineering and B. F. Goodrich. He taught at Gloucester High school in the electrical vocational education department.

Dan was also a licensed amateur radio operator. He enjoyed gardening, landscaping and bird watching

He most recently resided in Easthampton MA.

In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
