Hatfield, MA - Dennis E. Barcomb, aged 76, of Hatfield, unexpectedly passed away at his home on November 2, 2025, a little over two weeks after the death of his wife Karen on October 18th. He was born on February 14, 1949, in Springfield to the late Jacob Barcomb Jr. and Pearl (Rock) Cady.

Shortly after his birth, his family relocated to Westhampton where he spent his younger years surrounded by his 18 siblings. In 1969, Dennis married Karen M. Veilleux, the love of his life, and together they began a new chapter by moving to Easthampton.

Dennis was a dedicated husband and father. Upon retirement, he pursued interests such as camping, cooking, metal detecting, puzzle construction, and participating in games like pitch and rummy, while also valuing meaningful time with his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his siblings, Lauris, Shirley, Carol, Betty, Lynn, Gary and twins Arnold and Donald. His daughter, Wendy McAvoy and her husband Anthony of Belchertown, and their 3 children Anthony Jr., Angel and Karl. His daughter Kelly McAvoy and her husband William Jr. of Halifax, and their 3 children, Keith and his wife Emily, Ryan his wife Fergie and their 3 children Maxim, Dalia and Lena and Shyann her fiancé Lenny and their 3 children Kylie, Reddington and Novalyn. His son Randy Barcomb of West Hatfield and his youngest daughter Sherry Barcomb and her fiancé, Jeremy Plasse of West Hatfield, who inherited their beloved dog, Sweetie, also several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Jacob and Pearl, he was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Karen (Veilleux) Barcomb, his siblings, Jacob Jr., William, Roland, Helen, Charlie, Alton, Elaine, Janet, Allen and Ronald.
