Guinevere Sophie "Guin" Kuzmeskus

1925 - 2016

GREENFIELD - Guinevere "Guin" Sophie (Kurkulonis) Kuzmeskus, 90, of Conway, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016.

Guin was born July 9, 1925, in Montague, daughter of the late Joseph and Stella (Kolymcka) Kurkulonis. She attended school in both Montague and Turners Falls.

She first worked at Greenfield Tap & Die during World War II. After she married, she was a nurse's assistant for 30 years at Hillside Nursing Home. She was also a private duty personal care assistant for several individuals. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, solving puzzles and going out for a good meal.

Her husband of 38 years, Victor Kuzmeskus, died in 1986. She is survived and will be missed by her children, Dennis and his wife Diane, Jacob, Brian and his wife Nancy and Doug and his wife Cathy; her grandchildren Denny, Jeff, Barry and his wife Tara, Jack, Louie, Katlyn, Donnie, Carrie and Kristie Sostilo and her husband James; her great-grandchildren Felecia, Tilyr and Jax; a brother Walter Kurkulonis; and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her sisters Jennie McCarthy and Katherine Becklo and her brothers Joseph and Stanley Kurkulonis.

Calling hours are Thursday, June 16, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Drozdal Funeral Home, 120 Damon Road, Northampton. A Celebration of Guin's Life will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Turners Falls.
