Jane A. Coughlin
Northampton, MA — Jane Coughlin passed away gently on the morning of Sunday November 21, 2021, in the kind and compassionate care of Rockridge Retirement Home. She was 94 years old. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 40 years Daniel T. Coughlin, as well as her family of origin: David, Eugene, Anne, Nancy, Kevin, and Owen McNamara. She leaves her sister Brenda Millette of Northampton. Jane was beloved and will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews of several generations.
After growing up in Garden City, NY and Newton, MA, she and Dan moved to Washington D.C. and lived there for most of their lives. Dan, an attorney, worked as counsel for Senator Leverett Saltonstall in the U.S. Senate. He was active in many other venues over the years. Jane made many strong friends and joined various groups. Jane especially was cited for her work with and for the National Historic Trust over the years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on King St. in Northampton on Tuesday November 30 at 10 AM, followed by committal in St. Mary's Cemetery in Northampton.
