Joseph Beauchemin Obituary
He was born in, St.Angele, Quebec, Canada and is the son of the late Amie and Bernadette (Dagenais) Beauchemin.
Joseph retired in 2005 as a H.V.A.C. technician from Franklin Medical Center. After retirement he was a school bus driver for the Amherst School district.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of The Valley Church and an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and Montreal Canadians.
Joseph leaves his loving wife of 56 years Huguette (Toupin) Beauchemin, his son Luke Beauchemin and his wife Sharon of Westfield and his daughter Josee Vaclavicek and her husband Mark of Southampton. He also leaves his sister Blandine Seguin of Canada and grandchildren Nicholas and Alex Beauchemin, and Jonah and Matthew Vaclavicek, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by his son John Beauchemin and his brothers Jean Guy and Noel Beauchemin.
His funeral will be held on Monday, October 15 at 9:00 a.m. from the Boucher-O'Brien Funeral Home 7 Pleasant Street, Easthampton followed with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of The Valley Church, 33 Adams St. Easthampton. Burial will be in St. Brigids Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Baystate Hospice, 280 Chestnut St. Springfield, MA 01199.
Our family wishes to express our gratitude to the caregivers from Baystate Hospice for the compassionate care given to both Joe and our family, especially daughter-in-law Sharon, Jen, Kate, Kelly, and Sydney.
