SOUTHAMPTON, MA — Julie Ann Magee, 75 of Southampton, MA, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2021, at Baystate Medical Center. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones and Julie will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Julie was born on New Year's Day in 1947 in Bloomfield, Indiana to John and Joann (Hendren) Logan. Julie was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she earned her undergraduate degree, Sargent College at Boston University, where she earned her graduate degree and, finally, Rocky Mountain University (Utah), where she earned her doctoral degree. After many years of service as a pediatric special health care advisor for the Department of Public Health, Julie served as an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy at American International College in Springfield. She enjoyed tennis, skiing, time with family and the endless pursuit of perfection.

Julie was predeceased by her husbands; C. Robert Rutkowski, John Shylo, Jr. and John Magee, IV. Julie is survived by her four sons, Ryan Shylo, Damon Shylo, Robert Rutkowski and John Magee V, her sister, Janet Kimball, her daughter-in-law, Anne Rutkowski, and her grandchildren, Henry, Michael, Lily, Elizabeth and Matthew. Julie is also survived by her close friends the Bashista Family.

Julie requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Julie's loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at First Congregational Church of Southampton, United Church of Christ on Friday, January 14 at 11:00am.
