Marjorie Urkiel Obituary
She was born Nov. 2, 1929, in Amherst, the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret (Nanartonis) Stefan.
She was educated in Sunderland schools and graduated from Amherst High School.
She married Edwin Urkiel and they raised their family in South Deerfield, living there for many years.
Marjorie worked for many years at Smith College before retiring in 1992.
She was predeceased by her husband Edwin A. Urkiel and two sons, Donald and Steven Urkiel.
She leaves her children Edwin A. Urkiel, Jr., Michael A. Urkiel and Sandra Urkiel-Jobst. She also leaves three grandchildren, Keith Urkiel and Ashley and Lacey Jobst. She is also survived by her siblings Ernie, Donald, Edwin and Robert Stefan and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her best friend Louise Puchalski of Whately.
The family would like to especially thank Abbi from Overlook Hospice of Greenfield Hospice for the care and comfort she offered Marjorie and the family.
There will be no calling hours and services will be private with burial at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Overlook Hospice, 88 Masonic Home Road, Charlton, MA 01507.
The Czelusniak Funeral Home of Northampton has been entrusted with arrangements.

Hope I'm not intruding? Though I did not know you I , years ago, worked in the tobacco fields while in high school and remember your son Steve. He was a truly likable person. The family has my condlenses.
