Richard Howard "Dick" Crutch

Richard Crutch Obituary

AMHERST - Richard Howard Crutch, always referred to as "Dick" by family and friends, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at Baystate Medical Center.

He leaves his wife and best friend Marielena (Trudy) DiNatale; son Kevin; brother Donald; sister in-law Susan; nephews Brian and Matt; and step-children Steven, Thomas, Robert, Susan, Christina and Carla.

Born and raised in Amherst, many know Dick from his time at Aldridge Auto Supply or the Amherst VFW, but he is probably best known for his time with Trudy at Mike's Westview Cafe.

Dick and Trudy made everyone feel welcome and accepted as part of the family. He loved his grandkids and had a smile for everyone he met. Over the years Dick spent his time traveling with his wife Trudy, as well as residing in Florida for 12 years. He was a caring, loving and kind hearted man who will be greatly missed.

Memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Harp Restaurant, 163 Sunderland Rd., Amherst. A light lunch will be served.
