RICHARD WROBLEWSKI
Sunderland, MA - Richard "Rick" Wroblewski, 74, passed away suddenly. Never a one for long good-byes, Rick took his final ride on his beloved Harley, heading peacefully into the sunset on Sunday, November 9, 2025. He did not look back.
Born in
Northampton, MA, on July 6, 1951, Rick was the second of five children of the late Henry and Veronica (Korpita) Wroblewski.
In his younger years Rick formed and played drums in his band Rick Wroblewski and The Polka Jacks. He was always happiest with music in his life. Rick will always be a Polka legend to loved ones.
Rick began his work life at an early age. He joined the Local 98 when he was 18 years of age. Rick was a highly sought-after heavy equipment mechanic. His welding skills were unmatched. Rick was always looking for ways to improve things such as modifying his grandson's Power Wheels cars to get the maximum amount of power.
Rick always had a deep love for the outdoors. His hobbies were many and included hunting, fishing, and building. You could see him regularly supporting and cheering on his Buffalo Bills and Boston Bruins. Rick was always making time to explore and ride his Harley as much as possible.
Rick was an exceptional cook. He always made sure you left his company with a full stomach and plenty of leftovers to take home.
Rick is survived by his daughter Heather Wroblewski and son Jaxson, who brought immeasurable pride and joy to his life.
He also leaves his sisters, Carol Wyman and her husband Charles, Cynthia Ambs and her husband Scott, Jennifer Canty and his one brother Jeff Wroblewski and his wife, Amy. He also leaves his companion Patti Stephens.
He is remembered with love by many nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Rick was predeceased by his son, Richard Wroblewski.
A memorial service will take place at a future date. Arrangements are in the care of the Czelusniak Funeral Home in Northampton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Patriot Guard Riders, a charity that Rick shared a great passion for their mission.
