Robyn Szewczyk Obituary

ROBYN DAVIS SZEWCZYK

Granby, MA - Robyn Davis Szewczyk, 73, of Granby and South Hadley passed away suddenly in Springfield on October 13, 2025. Her husband, Ed, predeceased her in November 2020. She will be sorely missed by her daughter, Caitlin, her brothers Tim and Josh (and Pat) and sister Jamie. Her parents, Judy and Bill, passed away in 2010 and 2014. She also leaves nieces and nephews whom she loved. She cared deeply about her family. She had an immensely strong faith and work ethic. After graduating from Western New England University School of Law, Robyn worked for over forty years representing children and families in the District, Juvenile and Probate Courts of Western Massachusetts as an attorney and guardian ad litem. She was a passionate advocate for children and cared deeply for all of her clients. Robyn was highly respected for her knowledge of the law, and she advised many attorneys over the years. In 2012 she was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. She was a long-time member of the Hampden County and Massachusetts Bar Associations, and she was a Children's Law Project panel member. She enjoyed music, singing and guitar, her faith and church community, maintaining close friendships, gardening, and being with the dogs in her life, Panda and Martha, and wildlife, especially Gray Catbirds, birds and squirrels. She always looked forward to sunrises, lunches, and sunsets on the water. We love you Robyn and we will see you again. Well done, good and faithful servant. • Calling hours will be Friday, October 24 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Czelusniak Funeral Home in Northampton. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, October 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Granby, MA. • Memorial contributions can be made in Robyn's name to the American Stroke Association online at stroke.org. Yesterday

I knew Robyn through her work at the Westfield District Court as an amazing advocate for children and their families. Whenever she would be contacted about the need for a child to be represented, she would be there! She was well respected , knowledgeable, prepared , compassionate and very effective. The staff in Westfield liked her very much.I am certain she is remembered with great fondness and appreciation by those for whom she stood up in Court. She did something very special ...

Dear Family and Friends of Robyn: I knew Robyn thru the IHM Choir. She was also a canter and she blended exceptionally well with the other Canters. She sang Alto and was very blessed with an exceptional voice. She was a blessing to have in the choir and to have her involved with the church functions. She never said no she was always willing to share her thoughts. She will be sadly missed. Love always, Barbara Mitchell
