Annalee Swearengin Obituary

Annalee J. Swearengin

July 5, 1949 - October 10, 2025

Annalee (Annie) Joy Swearengin, 76, passed away on Friday October 10, 2025, in her home in Corvallis Oregon. She was hospitalized on September 10, 2025, and subsequently diagnosed with several, very aggressive, Glioblastoma's.

Annie was born in Oxnard, California, to Leonard and Caroline Shelton on July 5, 1949. She was the third of six siblings: Gary, Noel, Daphne, Shirley and Loren.

Annie graduated from Scio High School in 1966. She went on to Phagans' School of Beauty in Albany, Oregon, where she graduated and became licensed as a beautician. Her beauty career was primarily centered at Evelin's Beauty Boutique. After several years in the hair business, Annie started a new career in retail at The House of Fabrics where she spent the last couple years as the store manager. Afterwards, Annie went to work in the embroidery field ending up at Shirt Circuit where she stayed until retirement.

On February 26, 1972, Annie married Steven Swearengin in the same house in which they resided in Corvallis and where she passed. They had two children, Cameron and Janelle. She had five grandchildren: Kira, Kellen, Peyton, Kaleb and Ronin.

Annie had a talent for sewing and had made multiple quilts over the years for each family member. Her real passion, however, was her family: brothers and sisters, children, and especially the grandchildren. Family gatherings are what she lived for and enjoyed the presence of family near her.
