Darwin D. Roberge, 81, of Eddyville died Aug. 17, 2011, at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.
He was born April 10, 1930, in Union, Utah. He moved to Eddyville in 1944. Darwin graduated from Eddyville School, where he met Betty Jo. They married and together they had two sons. He worked at W.O.W. Sawmill until it closed, and proceeded to work in the logging industry until he retired. Darwin loved family, fishing, hunting, farming, attending community events, and cutting wood.
Darwin was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Dorothy Roberge; and son Joe. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Jo; son Jim (Kathy); grandchildren Jodie Williams (Sean), Martina Roberge and Elizabeth Sohlstrom (Jeff); and great-grandchildren Colin and Marin Williams.
A memorial service will take place at noon Sept. 10 at the Eddyville Community Church.
