Mildred "Midge" A. Ruterbories, 89, of Corvallis, died Dec. 26.
She was born in Logan, Kan., to James B. and Amy Bell Rea.
Midge married Buddy R. Brenton in 1936, and they eventually made their home in Denver, Colo., until his death in 1961. They had one son, Robert.
In 1966, Midge married Darrell J. Ruterbories, who had also lost his spouse. Together they raised her son and his daughter, Margo. Eventually they moved to Corvallis, where they managed Whispering Pines Mobile Home Park for many years. Darrell died in 1997.
Mildred enjoyed crafting, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by son Robert Brenton and his wife, Virginia, of Albany; daughter Margo Johnson and her husband, John, of Arvada, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brother Maury Rea of Albany; and sister Dee Sass of Albany.
She was preceded in death by her husbands and one granddaughter.
At Midge's request, private family services will be held in the spring at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.
