Patricia Sloan Fry passed away on June 23, 2018 in Corvallis.
Patti was born in Edgeley, North Dakota and was adopted as an infant by Samuel and Nina Sloan. The family moved to Spokane and then to Portland in 1944. Patti met her birth parents that year.
After that, Patti's family moved to Corvallis where Sam worked for the US Soil Conservation Service. Patti graduated from Corvallis High and attend Oregon State for a few years.
Patti met Don Fry and they had three children, Dean, Paul and Susan.
Patti is survived by her children, Paul, who is married and lives in Reno, and Susan, who is married and lives in Corvallis; one granddaughter; and two step granddaughters.
Patti was a good friend to many. She loved gardening, camping and hiking, traveling, playing bridge and being a grandmother.
In Patti's memory, donations may be made to Dial -a-Bus, 4077 SW Research Way, Corvallis, a non-profit organization Patti frequently used.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on July 9 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan.
