Pearl Rohan of Corvallis died Oct. 16. She was 90.
She was born in Superior, Wis., to Ernest and Laura Archambault Bedard and began working at the age of 18 as a sweeper with a railroad company. When World War II broke out, she and her sister trained as welders and worked in ship yards. She moved to Los Angeles in 1961 and worked at a hospital. After her husband died, she moved to Corvallis in 1974.
She was a life-long member of Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed working part-time in the dry cleaning business, traveling, her family, crafts and art.
Survivors include her daughters, Carol Hanson, Nancy Opoien and Judy Noreen, all of Corvallis; son, Jim of Woodland Hills, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard.
A funeral mass will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Corvallis.
