April 30, 1931 - April 6, 2006
Ruth was born to Albert and Ruth Ainsworth in Quebec, Canada.
She married Reiny Bott in 1949 and became a U.S. Citizen in 1955. Reiny died in a car accident in 1964.
She married Kenneth I. Jones in 1965.
Ruth was a member of the Marys River Grange since 1968. She retired from the Philomath Post Office in 1991 after 37 years at the front counter. She and Ken spent summers in La Pine and winters in Yuma, Ariz. Ken died from lung disease in 1997.
Bill Tokstad of La Pine had been her companion since 1998. Ruth enjoyed gardening, traveling and her pet Boston Terriers. She was diagnosed with cancer in January 2006.
She is preceded in death by both husbands, eight brothers and one sister, Ollie Harris.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Foster of Salem and Trisha Davis of Philomath, two grandsons, three great-grandsons and her companion.
A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at the Marys River Grange, 24689 Grange Hall Road, Philomath.
