Janesville, WI - Judy A. MacDonald (Terrill), born April 1, 1943 left this earth on October 7, 2025, and now rests in eternal peace. After bravely battling chronic illness, she is breathing easily once again.
Judy will be remembered as a woman who was steady, dependable and creative. She delighted in her family's teasing, often becoming the butt of their jokes just to see them smile. Loyal and trustworthy, she held the confidences of friends close to her heart and was always the first to show up when help was needed.
She was stubborn in the best way, protective, resourceful, and far smarter than she ever gave herself credit for. Creative and crafty, Judy could bake a perfect apple pie, whip up a killer potato salad, and filled countless homes with her famous Christmas treats over the years.
She loved games of all kinds, board games, cards, or the slots; and she often won. A devoted Packers fan, she could always find the energy to stay awake for kickoff, no matter how tired she was. Quiet by nature, Judy rarely complained, choosing instead to listen, to notice, and to care.
Her greatest joy came from her family. From the moment she met her granddaughters, Gracia and Ava, she was completely smitten. She poured her creativity and love into her children, Heather, Megan, and Scott; throwing epic birthday parties and rescuing projects they let go until the last minute with patience. She was their steady advocate and sacrificed much for their benefit.
For 54 years, Judy shared life with her husband, Duncan; her fishing and euchre partner, her confidant, and her dearest friend.
The words "I love you" came to her later in life, but when she said them, you knew she meant them. Judy left this world knowing she was deeply loved, and she would want everyone to know, she loves you, too.
She is survived by immediate family members: her husband, Duncan MacDonald, children Heather (Dan) Powell, Megan MacDonald, Scott MacDonald, granddaughters Gracia Powell and Ava MacDonald, brother Jim (Nancy) Terrill, sisters Mary Green and Joan Terrill. She was preceded in death by immediate family members: her mother Patricia and father Milton, brothers Steve Terrill and Tim Terrill (Debbie Terrill) and sisters Jeanne Rupnow and Teresa Terrill.
