Janesville, WI - Robert "Bob" Charles Roach, age 63, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Agrace in Fitchburg on November 6, 2025. He was born on September 30, 1962, in Janesville, Wisconsin, the son of Kenneth Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Babcock) Roach.
He made his home in Janesville and worked for JP Cullen as a skilled cement mason and finisher, taking pride in his craft and the projects he helped bring to life.
Family was the heartbeat of Robert's life. He was a proud and devoted father who found his greatest happiness in the company of his children. Whether sharing everyday moments, offering words of encouragement, or simply being present, Robert's love was constant and unwavering. His children were not only his pride but his purpose, and the bond they shared was filled with laughter, guidance, and unconditional care.
The Packers, Badgers, and Brewers were one of Robert's greatest joys. A loyal Wisconsin Sports fan, he followed every team through every season with steadfast devotion. He loved a chilly tailgate, the thrill of a close game, and the camaraderie of cheering alongside fellow fans. For Robert, sports were more than a pastime. It was a tradition, a source of excitement, and a way to connect with the people he loved. His passion for them will be remembered every time the teams play.
Robert is survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Dawn Marie Petska; his children, Alexis (Alex Teglia) Roach, Aaron (Taylor) Roach, Paige (Josh Ryan) Roach, and Amanda (Chris) Tart; grandchildren Nick, Johnny, and Lainey; siblings Mike Roach, Jim Roach, Colleen (Charlie) Ries, Patty (Jim) Nolan, Rosie (Nels) Nelson, Jerry (Michelle) Roach, Tim (Heidi) Roach, and Bill (Nan) Roach; and sister-in-law Karen Roach.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dan and twin Dick Roach.
