Robert H. Stricker

1937 - 2024

Edgerton, WI - Robert "Bob" H. Stricker Jr., 86, of Edgerton, WI, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Agrace Hospice, Janesville. Bob was born on June 13, 1937 in Edgerton to the late Robert H. and Beatrice (Bussey) Stricker Sr. In his freshman years of high school, Bob contracted Polio and would spend a large chunk of his first year in the hospital. Bob was a 1955 graduate of Edgerton High School. In 1957, he started working for Short Electric. In 1961, Bob started working with his father at H.C. Stricker and Sons as a carpenter. That same year, Bob married Carolyn Hollo on September 29 at Central Lutheran Church. In 1973, Bob started Stricker Electric. Bob was a longtime member of Central Lutheran Church, Lake Ripley Country Club, and Towne Country Club. He also was member of the Edgerton Fire Department for 20 years. Bob was a longtime member of the Edgerton Lion's Club. He loved watching all sports and was a Badger and Chicago Bears fan. He loved to golf and enjoyed his Friday nights having dinner at the Decoy.

Bob is survived by his loving wife: Carolyn Stricker; son: Steve (Nicki) Stricker; grandchildren: Bobbi, Izzi, and Rowan; brother: John "Jack" Stricker; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Scott Stricker; and a sister: Mary Jo Odette.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Central Lutheran Church, Edgerton with Pastor Erik Jelinek officiating. Burial will follow at Fassett Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at the Albrecht Funeral Home from 2 PM to 4 PM and from 10 AM until the start of services on Monday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Bob's name at a later date. The Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Edgerton is assisting the family with arrangements.
