Shirley A. Warner

1937 - 2024

Janesville, WI - Shirley A. Warner, age 87, of Janesville, passed away peacefully Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, at the Agrace Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Janesville. She was born in Augusta, WI, on Jan. 14,1937, the daughter of Roy and Gertrude (Kattesten) Shoemaker and was raised in Osseo. Shirley married Richard Warner on Dec. 14, 1957, in Janesville. Richard preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1984. She worked for Parker Pen then for Lycon Inc. in the office for many years. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren, who were her life. She also enjoyed travelling, camping, sewing, quilting, reading, biking, and gardening. Shirley was also a part of the Strong Women Exercise Group.

She is survived by her children: Jeffrey (Cindy) Warner of Milton, Kelly LaVallee of Madison, and Lori (John) Forslund of Janesville; 7 grandchildren: Jessica, Nicole (Craig), Elizabeth (Nick), Shandra (Adam), Zachary, Nick (Dei), and Sam; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; 2 siblings, Joanne Shoemaker and Donald Shoemaker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and her beloved cat Molly. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Melissa; and siblings: Charles, Betty, James, Marge, and Annabelle.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wed. Nov. 13, 2024, at the APFEL WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, Janesville. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wed. Nov. 13 from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of services at the APFEL WOLFE FUNERAL HOME. Memorials in Shirley's name can be made to Agrace Hospice Care.
