Thomas Hunt Obituary
Evansville, WI - Thomas A. Hunt, 55, of Evansville, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Mercy Hospital. Thomas was born on August 29, 1967 in Stoughton, WI to the late Howard "Jack" and Carol (Lee) Hunt. He is a 1985 graduate of Evansville High School. On November 8, 1997, Tom married Christia Baumberger at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Evansville. Tom worked on the family farm up until he got into the cement business with McIntyre Foundations and for the last 15 years with Baumberger Foundations. Tom worked hard, played hard and loved hard. He adored his children and his family was the center of his world. His big bear hugs were the best and he gladly gave especially if he knew you didn't want one. He loved spending time with his family, his many friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was knowledgeable about how to do so many things. Tom loved to fish, hunt and especially enjoyed his annual trips to Canada where he did all the meal planning and grocery shopping just like at home. He loved to smoke meats and share with friends. Tom was a force to be reckoned with as rarely did you see him sitting idle. He was always the biggist kid in the room and was a playmate to his children, nieces, nephews, neighborhood kids and kids of family friends. He gave all of his time and attention and had a way of making everyone that he knew feel special!
Tom is survived by his wife, Christia Hunt; children: Olivia Hunt, Austin Hunt; mother-in-law: Shannon Baumberger; siblings: Laura (Phil) Woodworth, Daniel (Megan) Hunt, DeAnn (Lee) Paynter; siblings-in-law: Dawn (Peter) Kaminski, Greg (Jana) Baumberger, Carmen McIntyre, DeWayne (Jackie) Baumberger; and many nieces and nephews who loved him very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law, Walter Baumberger and nephew Robert Paynter.
