Virgil Kaas Obituary
Virgil worked at the General Motors assembly plant in Janesville, WI. He retired from there after 38 years. Virgil was an avid farmer, both on the family farm and in the Janesville area. He loved to hunt with his sons and loved to read. He never met a person he couldn't have a conversation with.
Virgil is survived by three sons: Kim (Cheryl) Kaas, Todd (Julie) Kaas and Dale (Traci) Kaas all of Janesville; daughter, Brenda (Tom Young) Kaas of Osseo; eight grandchildren: Chelsea, Jake, Mason, Cody, and Gavin Kaas, Adrian and Derrick Farris and Lyndsey (Collin) Nevel; five great-grandchildren: Kylie Kaas, Hunter and Carter Kleven, Kaydence Larson and Margot Farris; sister Audrey Olson; sister-in-law Judy Bergeron; several nieces, nephews and friends. He is also survived by his companion Gloria Qualley.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Palmer and Veda Kaas, in-laws Harry Schendel, Rose & Ray Woods, sister Elaine Zempel, brother-in law Eddie Zempel; sister Helen Larson, brother-in- law Palmer Larson, brother-in-law Lloyd Olson, brother-in-law Harry Schendel Jr. and wife Donna Schendel, Virgil's wife, Mary Kaas, infant daughter Cheryl Kaas.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with funeral services immediately following at South Beef River Church (N12798 County Road B Osseo, Wis. 54758). Burial will be at the church cemetery at a later date.
Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared at www.cremationsociety-wi.com.
