Carolyn Diana De Francesco

1942 - 2021

Carolyn was born to Mike and Mabel Filice on October 21, 1942 in San Jose, California went home to be with the Lord on October 20, 2021. Carolyn was born in San Jose, but moved to Gilroy California at a young age where she grew up and graduated High School. While in her senior year in High School she began to date Mario De Francesco Jr. and they quickly fell in love. Mario and Carolyn were married on December 4, 1960 and they had one daughter - Michelle and four sons – Frank, Mario III, Michael and Christopher. In 1972, Carolyn moved with her family to Firebaugh, California where she spent the rest of her life. Carolyn's pride and joy was her family and her number one priority was making sure she took care of them. Carolyn was known by all her family and friends as a woman who was truly gifted as a great cook and baker. She could cook you the finest meal you have ever eaten followed by the best pie or cake your taste buds ever experienced. Carolyn's greatest sense of joy came from seeing her home filled with family and friends enjoying her food. Carolyn was a Christian woman who loved her Lord, Jesus Christ and this love moved her to support several organizations. She actively supported Sonshine Ministries International, a ministry which helps support children in impoverished countries, as well as, Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child, and organized the neighborhood campaign for The Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Carolyn touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing she is now in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Carolyn's husband Mario Jr. and son Mario III predeceased her and she leaves behind sisters Shirley Marcussen and Alice Vierra, brother Bob Dooley and his wife Joan, daughter Michelle Cardella and her husband Chris, son Frank and his wife Sandi, daughter-in-law Vicki, son Michael and son Christopher and his wife Linda, grandchildren Diana Reis and her husband Conlin, Steven Cardella, Jenna Brinkley and her husband Zack, Brian De Francesco and his wife Sasha, Frank De Francesco Jr., Francesca Panelli and her husband Greg, Giavanna Sorenson and her husband Nolan, Dominic De Francesco, Kiara McBee and her husband Wyatt, Christopher De Francesco Jr., and Matthew De Francesco. She also leaves behind 9 great grandchildren – Jaden, Jaxon, and Jonah De Francesco, Elaina and Cassidy Reis, Vincenzo and Giada Panelli, Nellie Sorenson and Wraylynn McBee – and number 10 due soon.

A Celebration of Carolyn's life will be on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 11 AM at Northpointe Community Church, 4625 West Palo Alto Avenue, Fresno, CA. 93722. Private Interment will be at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
