Ed married Elaine White in Gilroy, California on February 1, 1959 and they celebrated 66 years of marriage this year. Ed attended high school in Gilroy and served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. He is survived by Elaine Maier; son, Willson W. Maier of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and grandson, Willson Maier of Gilroy, California. No services are planned at this time.

I remember Ed bringing the historic millstones found on his property and donating them to the Gilroy Museum. His wife used to work with my husband at South Valley Middle School. Both people we enjoyed knowing and working with.
