Theodore Strotman Obituary

Ted Strotman passed away peacefully at home with his daughters by his side on March 20, 2026. Ted now joins his beautiful and loving wife, Beth.

He leaves behind his three daughters: Susan Yates, Elizabeth Strotman (Luca Pavani) and Lynette Breyton (Bill Breyton). Five grandchildren: Ted Yates (Candece Yates), Evan Yates (Rachel Moose), Andrew Breyton (Jandilyn Breyton), Grant Breyton and Danielle Breyton. And seven great grandchildren: Olivia Yates, Charley Breyton, Austen Yates, Oliver Yates, Hunter Breyton, Charlotte Yates and Blair Yates.

Ted has lived in Gilroy, with his wife Beth, since he was discharged from the Army after serving in the Korean War. He was looking for a job on his first day in Gilroy and walked into a small electric company that needed help. It was on that day that he met his future wife Beth and started working for the company that he would eventually own. Ted and Beth married three months later and lived in Gilroy the rest of their lives.

Ted was a smart, compassionate and interesting man. He was larger than life! He was a wonderful husband, loving father to his three daughters and a fun grandpa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ted was a member of the Elks for many years and had so many friends from there. Ted and his wife Beth loved traveling. They enjoyed many trips and cruises together to Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean. Ted also enjoyed many pastimes in his life including fishing, gambling, learning new things, working in his yard, fixing anything and most importantly enjoying the view from his front porch with his wife and his family.

He will be missed every day.
