Barbara Johnson Obituary
Born 03/31/34 to James and Blanche Coleman in Denver, CO, Barb was the oldest of her 8 siblings: Don, Bruce, Jerry, Carl, James, Linda, and Jan. They lived in Denver until she was 12 years old, and the family moved to Mesa, Colorado.
Barb went to Plateau Valley School where she met her high school sweetheart, Harold Johnson. Barb attended Mesa State College and pursued a business degree. After their marriage, Barb and Harold had seven children and moved to Palisade where they raised their children.
Barb is survived by her seven children: Dennis Johnson, Faith Hill (Ben), Colleen Fleenor (Guy), Bev Crawford (Lincoln), Brian Johnson (Veronica), Julie Stogsdill (Steve), and Peggy Gunning. Barb had 24 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death, along with her grand daughter Leah Marie Hill, her parents, brother(s) Carl and Don Coleman.
Barb cared for her family deeply. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was active in her church, a talented seamstress, cook and enjoyed fishing with her family. Barb worked hard her whole life, she was always willing to help others and didn't know a stranger.
Funeral Services will be held June 10th, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Emmanuel Baptist Church, followed by graveside services at Mesa Cemetery in Mesa, CO.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara's name to Hope West Hospice.

The first time I met Barb we were sitting at the morning meeting she was talking about her sister n law Kathrin who had passed away and that is when we found out her sister n law is my great aunt. Barb was a blessing and will be dearly missed. Brandy Bellah

So sorry to hear of Barb´s death. I have many good memories of her and, of course, all of y´all! Barb had a friendly welcoming way about her. God will wipe away all your tears just as he promises in Revelations. Won´t it be glorious when that great reunion takes place. Joy comes in the morning!
