Frank Albertson Obituary

Frank O. Albertson January 27, 1933 - May 17, 2009 Frank was born January 27, 1933 in Burns, CO to Joe and Ruth Albertson. Frank graduated from Colorado A&M in 1955. There he met Jo Ann Milner. They were married December 27, 1953, raising three children; Kim, Teri and Jelaine. Ranching was his life. Frank is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jo Ann; also by children, Kim (Debra) Albertson, Teri (Larry) Lynch, and Jelaine (Kevin) Wahlert; seven grandchildren, Sara (Matt) Ellicott, Jesse Albertson, Cari Albertson, Jamie (Niel) Danko, Jodie Lynch, Samantha (Dillon) Kujala, and Ryann (Presten) Hale, and brother, Vern Albertson. Frank was preceded in death by parents, Joe and Ruth, and brother, Charles. Services are scheduled for Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Northeast Christian Church in Grand Junction. Burial will be at New Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International at P.O. Box 3762, Grand Junction, 81502 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado, P.O. Box 60307, Grand Junction, 81506.

I will always cherish the time I spent talking to Frank at our family reunions about the Gates Ranch. I am so glad it is back in the family. He was always such a happy acting man. We will miss him very much. You are in our prayers JoAnn and Families.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your thoughts and memories of Frank bring you comfort in the days to some. I have many memories of Frank. They are all good. He was a great man and will be dearly missed. Just imagine the reunion in Heaven of Frank with Grandpa Ted and Grandma Lizzie. How wonderful that will be. Wish we could be there for you at your time of loss.
