John Dreher

John Ponsford Dreher
January 16, 1952 - February 5, 2015
John, the second son of Gene R. and Louise Dreher, was born in Grand Junction, Colorado and died in his sleep at his home near Los Alamos, New Mexico.
John graduated from the University of California at Irvine with a degree in Engineering. He had a long and varied career doing a variety of engineering projects for a wide range of companies as both an employee and a consultant. At the time of his death, John was also teaching Engineering at the Indian School in Santa Fe.
John created silver jewelry and delighted in giving the pieces away to people. As a gourmet cook, he loved to prepare fancy dinners. As a minster of the Church of Christ, John assisted at a number of churches and nursing homes in the Santa Fe area.
He is survived by his mother; father; brother, Gene H; brother, Dan B; Dan's wife, Laurie; many friends, and his bull terrier, Sadie.
A memorial service for John will be held at St. John's United Methodist Church, Santa Fe, NM, at 2:00 p.m. on March 8. A family service was held at the Orchard Mesa Cemetery where he was interred.
