I am a native of Crested Butte and grew up with Johnny Bob and his brothers. We are all so sorrowful in his passing; my sincere care and sympathy to his family. I send lots of hugs to Josephine (his Mom) and to Anna. May God bless.

Johnny was one of the most wonderful persons I have known in my life caring and giving.I will always remember the house in Old Snowmass as a special place, one where I tasted mutton for the first time and liked it and the other...don't laugh but for the fly strips over the table. Susan was a special friend also and I am joyous in the fact that they will be together again, what a special bond.

To all of the family, Steven, his wife and children, Anna, Mathew and his step sons you should rejoice in the fact that he was in your life no matter what the out come. I certainly am. I am proud that I can and will call Johnny my good friend for the remainder of my life and beyond.

Love and prayers to all, Gloria

I knew John during the 1980s when I was a biologist and DWM with the CDOW in Glenwood. He was a great guy who loved the outdoors and was hell of a good hand with mules and horses. Sorry to hear about your loss.
