Karen Boland Obituary
August 29, 1946 - April 20, 2017
Karen Sue Boland, 70, of Grand Junction, died April 20, 2017, at HopeWest Hospice care center.
Karen was a school teacher in Christian schools in Delta, and Fruita, and a home school teacher in Grand Junction.
She is survived by her husband, Howard; sons, Raymond of Grand Junction, and Thomas (Melissa) of Post Falls, ID; daughters, Michelle (Kent) Coker of Rifle, and Valerie (Eric) Lowe of Grand Junction; brother, John (Jean) Hall, Canon City, CO; sister, Barbara Walton of Moberly, MO; grandchildren, Jonathan and Benjamin Boland, Hannah, Gabrielle, and Abel Lowe; Amy, Tyler and Jared Coker, Kelly (Kiefer) Purdy, and Holly Fisch; great-grandchildren, Colleen, William, Suzanne, Mary, Deonna, Nevaeh, and Izeya.
Memorial services have been changed to Friday, 2:00 p.m. April 28, 2017, at Cross Point Church, 198 Sunlight Drive, Grand Junction, 81503. In addition, a celebration of life to be determined for later in June or July, 2017, in Grand Junction.

Karen was our amazing family-friend and neighbor for many years. Karen and Howard would often visit my late mother, Iona McClellan. This act of love gave me so much peace to know someone was checking in on her and loved her. They worked on the beautiful mum flower garden that still thrives today.
I feel honored to have known Karen. She will be greatly missed.
