Lori Lynne Seeley Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Aunt and Grandmother.
Lori passed away on January 19, 2024 at University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City at the age of 53.
Lori Lynne Hoyt was born on January 28, 1970 to Walt and Sharon Hoyt at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. When Lori was 2 1/2, her sister Julie Ann Hoyt was born. Lori lived her entire life in the Grand Valley. She attended Clifton Elementary, Bookcliff Jr High and graduated from Central High School in 1988. While in high school she worked her first two jobs with Mesa County Valley School District 51, Maintenance Department and the Daily Sentinel Circulation Department.
After graduation, Lori went to work for the next ten years at Palisades Notional Bank as a teller and New Accounts Representative where she made life long friends. Lori married Gregory C Scott on August 20, 1988. They welcomed their daughter, Jordan Lynne Scott into the world on August 14, 1991. Lori and Greg divorced in 1991.
Lori married Tony Ray Cosslett on June 11, 1994. They welcomed their daughter, Audray Lynne Cosslett into the family on September 20, 1996. Lori was preceded in death by Tony.
In 1998 Lori went to work for Clifton Water District as an Administrative Assistant and Fleet Manager until 2004 and then moved on to being the District Manager of Central Grand Valley Sanitation District until they dissolved in 2012. This led her to her last job as the Administrative Coordinator with Mesa County Transportation, Road and Bridge from 2013 till the later part of 2023.
On December 28, 2010 Lori married Kenny Seeley and welcomed his two children, Daphny and Dusty as well as Dusty's wife Brooke with open arms. The two of them loved their family and each other. They enjoyed traveling with family to Radium to the old family cemetery and spent a lot of summer times in Wyoming with Kenny's brother Herb and his wife Denean. Kenny stayed with Lori through her entire hospital stay including through her transfer to Salt Lake City.
Over the years Lori loved anything outdoors; hunting, fishing, four wheeling, gardening and growing peonies like her grandparents did. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for family and friends. She was a big fan of the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs. But most beloved to her were her family, friends and especially her much loved nephew, Kaleb Hoyt, son in law Bradley Wall and her 6 grandchildren; Wyatte, Bryson, Ember, Bentley, Slater and Hadley.
Lori left us too soon after a month long illness in ICU and complications from surgery. She touched so many lives while here. If she knew you, you were family. Lori will be deeply missed by all.
No services are planned at this time.
