Louise Osborn
July 20, 1921 - November 19, 2013

Louise Osborn, age 92, died peacefully at the Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home in Rifle on Tuesday, November 19, 2013.
Louise was born July 20, 1921, to Carl Julius Freeman and Lelia Elder Freeman in Grand Valley, CO. She spent her childhood on Morrisania Mesa near Parachute. Louise graduated from Grand Valley High School and attended business school in Denver. While in Denver, Louise met Carl Osborn and they were married on February 7, 1945. To this union were born a son, Robert, and daughter, Margret.
Louise was a long time member of the United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Rifle and served as church secretary for a number of years. She greatly enjoyed entering baked goods in the Garfield County Fair and was especially proud of her award winning chiffon cake.
Survivors include her son, Robert (Susan) of Grand Junction, CO; daughter, Margret (Dorn) Wilcox of Fort Mohave, AZ; four grandsons, Todd (Jennifer) Osborn of Centennial, CO; Michael (Jennifer)Osborn of Grand Junction, CO; Cody (Rhea) Wilcox of Las Vegas, NV; Josh (Kristen) Wilcox of Las Vegas, NV; eight great-grandchildren, and sister, Dorothy Mueller of Arvada, CO. Louise was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, and her sister, Betty Baldwin.
A memorial service will be held at the Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home in Rifle, CO on Saturday, November 30, at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home at Rifle, 851 E. 5th Street, Rifle, CO 81650.
