She was born on September 24, 1954, the daughter of Hildred & Rosie (Bryant) Casey in Vallejo, California. On July 12, 1997, she was united in marriage to Herbert Mathis Sr. in Otter Lake. Her children blessed her with 29 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Hilda (Fritz) and Jackie (Rob); father-in-law, Donald Nash; in-laws, Bruce, Dort (Larry), Sharon, and Sue; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Byrd in 1994; parents; son, Troy.
