Vernon Fassett Obituary

Vernon "Bob" Fassett, 83, of Beaverton, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. Bob was born on March 13, 1939, to the late Sherman and Cora (Ingalls) Fassett of Beaverton. He was one of thirteen children.

Bob graduated from Beaverton High School and then enlisted in the United States Army where he was a medic. Bob married the love of his life, Marian (Yeager) Fassett, she survives him. They were blessed with three children, Cheryl Fassett of Beaverton, Larry (Cindy) Fassett of Huntsville, Texas, and Rob (Donna) Fassett of Alpena.

Bob worked construction until he started his own business as owner of the Beaverton NAPA Auto Parts Store for 18 years. In 2002, Bob and Marian converted the then NAPA store into what's now known as Herbs Plus where customer's became family.

Bob loved gardening, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and horseshoes, where he was a fierce competitor. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. He seemed to know everyone and was well liked by all who knew him. Bob will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and sense of humor.

Bob will live on through his wife; children; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and one on the way. He is also survived by siblings, Richard Fassett, Sherman Fassett, Janice Govitz, and MaryLou Vollar.

Bob's celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 12-3 p.m. at the Beaverton Lions Community Center. Vernon "Bob" Fassett Fassett
