Dan Moynehan

Dan Moynehan, age 51, died peacefully on October 13 at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville, NY, with his family by his side. Dan was born on August 10, 1974 at Glens Falls Hospital, and was the son of Betsy and Dave Moynehan.

Dan graduated from Warrensburg Central School, where he was active in Band and Chorus, and earned his bachelor's degree in Biology from SUNY Oneonta.

For over a decade, Dan was a devoted group fitness instructor, certified in multiple Les Mills programs. He brought charm, laughter and effective training to every class. He once said that his focus was to live with the intention of making a difference. He built this legacy as a role model and friend to his fellow instructors and members.

Dan bravely fought glioblastoma for over 2 years. After his first surgery, he said "I just need a branch to hold onto while the next one grows."

Dan leaves behind his parents, his wife Julie (Tracy) Moynehan, their daughter Katherine and his siblings, Kelly (Doug) Sanford, Keith (Mina) Moynehan and Kate (Todd) Moynehan, as well as several cousins.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, 19 October at 12 p.m. at Townley & Wheeler Funeral home, 21 Midline Rd, Ballston Lake, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, 20 October at 11 a.m., at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 US-9, Round Lake, NY.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Columbia University/Irving Medical Center-Department of Neurology or the charity of one's choice.
