Orchard - Adam Robert Block, age 34, of Nora Springs and formerly of Orchard, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 18, 2018.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Sacred Heart Parish Hall in Osage with Father Raymond Burkle officiating. Burial will be at Chester Hill Cemetery in Chester, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.
Adam was born March 16, 1983, in New Hampton, Iowa, to Andrew and Debra (Morris) Block. Adam attended school in Osage and graduated from Osage High School in 2002. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, collecting knives, listening to rock music, watching movies, family game nights, and bringing crunch bars to his nieces and nephews.
Adam is survived by his parents, Andrew and Deb Block of Orchard; brother, Brad Block of Orchard; sisters, Kristen (Anthony) Cornwell of Osage and Caitlin Block (Jorden Schoolmeesters) of Osage; nephews, Keygan, Damien, Hunter, Xavier, Dominic and Orin; nieces, Keira, Makaya and Stella; and grandmothers, Ann Whitnable of New Hampton and Alvina Block of Cresco.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Paul Block, Sr. and Robert Morris; uncles, Dale Morris and Duane Morris; aunt, Marsha Lines; and niece, Shaylee Block Brennan.
